I agree that it is sport, but a crime? Aside: the amzing things make up can do, huh?

The benefits of low expectations.

re: low expectations

Now you understand my perplexing choices on the caption contests :)

Seriously, that's a fascinating article, KJ. I found judging the caption contests to be very irritating but also very interesting. Because most of my readers were male, I was very much aware of how much my sense of humor differed from most of yours'.

I know the ones I picked often weren't the ones you guys thought were funny. I also find it interesting how often, when something strikes me as funny, it doesn't always do so right away (the article was right on the money there) and if it is really subtle and funny, it will continue to make me laugh for a very long time - like a movie you can watch over and over. I love to laugh, and that was the best thing about games and caption contests.

Sometimes you guys came up with things that were so subtly clever that I'd still be laughing at them weeks later. To me, they were so much funnier than the obvious slapstick or bathroom humor ones, though they can be funny too. But I like the sly ones that sort of creep up on you best.

I guess this is where I should say a big 'thank you' to all of you for making me laugh so many times.

On behalf of all low brow humor men, and the few high brow humor men, you are welcome.

The cheerleading story once again shows that the MSM's failure isn't so much what it puts in it's stories, but rather what it leaves out. We need details, People! :©)
