Did Someone Say 'Road Trip'?

So KJ says he has work to do out of town that's keeping him from blogging for a few days?

Thumbing through the events section, I found something that leads me to believe otherwise. From the Huntsville Times:

Tommy Womack of Nashville, who combines elements of hillbilly, soul, blues and country mixed with rock 'n' roll, will perform Friday night at the Kaffeeklatsch on Jefferson Street.

The show starts at 9 p.m.; there's no cover charge.

From 1985 to 1992, Womack performed with the punk band Government Cheese, which made several records and appeared on MTV. He wrote about his life of "neuroses, spilled drinks, tantrums and bad habits" in the book "Cheese Chronicles: The True Story of a Rock 'n' Roll Band You've Never Heard of."

Hmmmm. Eclectic musical interests, versatile, intensely interested in "government cheese." Could Tommy Womack be someone's stage name? How far is Huntsville from Atlanta, anyway?

I forgot what it was I was going to say.
How embarassing.

Bless your heart for speaking up anyway, speed. Perhaps you were going to mention that the Kaffeeklatsch had nicer seats than you expected, but next time you and KJ hit the road, you're driving?

Cass, maybe we can shame him into bringing back some video. I can't imagine what he wears to rock-a-billy gigs in Huntsville.
